The IEAA Outbound Mobility Forum has become Australia's standout student mobility professional development event. This year it was held at UTS in Sydney on April 23rd and 24th 2015. Notes from the session on From Risky Business to Best Practice: Private/Public Partnerships in Student Mobility can be found here: From Risky Business to Best Practice. To lead in a session about how Australian universities can work with third party providers of overseas study programs, Rob Malicki and Jooliet Lau (AIM Overseas) performed a song, Under the Pump. Under the Pump Sometimes I feel like There's no exchange partner Sometimes I feel like My only friend Is the program in Sweden It's through a provider The students they love it They all want to go Third party providers Are sending me emails The latest internship In China or Rome I work with some good ones But it's hard getting started They're part of our offering But not all we do I don't ever want to feel like I did that day Unauthorised shout outs in class can you make them go away? I don't ever want to feel like I did that day There's nothing in my policy, looks like they're here to stay... It's hard to believe that There's so many out there Third party providers Are coming out my nose I'd like to work with more But there ain't no guidance But if it can happen Together we'll grow I don't ever want to feel like I did that day The DVC is wanting more...students going to Norway I know I'm going to have to deal...with programs where students have to pay Just send them to the place I love Let's send them all away! (Away!) Budget cuts! No! No! No! Yeah, yeah. (Away!) Help me send them away.... I want to send more But I'm only Part time! Under the pump right now! (Wanted budget for new staff) Under the pump right now! (But I could not get enough) Under the pump right now! (And OS-HELP doubled just last month) Under the pump right now! Help me I.E.A.A!
