I’m Michelle Ngu from Adelaide. I study a Bachelor of Media Arts at the University of South Australia. I completed the New Media for Business and Digital Marketing at Michigan State University in July 2014! For those of you wondering about credit- it was very smooth and efficient to have approved :) .

The course set a new eye for me in what I want to do with my profession. After the program and self-exploring in my career planning, I made the decision to go into advertising- zero regrets since then!

I hope you enjoy my student profile :) .

Our weekend trip down to Detroit where we visited Leo Burnett and General Motors HQ, and watched a baseball game was fantastic. It was the perfect combination of fun, barbecue-ribs-sucking, arts & cultural experiencing, and professional/academic learning with the companies.

I also went to my first ever baseball game at Comerica Park, Detroit. Cheering on for the Detroit Tigers versing Cleveland Indians was a magical atmosphere.

To everyone who travelled, it would be a lie to say that these experiences didn’t cause an impact on us. I learnt so much from MSU and the wonderful professors. Most importantly, the independence and sense of conquering a different part of the earth gave me a new perspective in everything I do.

Despite knowing Australia is a pretty huge land, I still comparatively underestimated USA’s geographical vastness and it caught me by surprise. That country is huge! The lands are spacious, the cities are full-blown majestic, my campus was massive too!

Thank you MSU :)
